70 Best Bridal Shoes for Every Style

Finding the best bridal shoes is weirdly hard. There are a lot of white heels out there, but not that many that actually feel special enough for a wedding event and still look like something you’d want to wear again.

I pulled together 70 of my favorite bridal shoes right now and organized them by style, so you can actually shop based on what you’re looking for: kitten heels, slingbacks, block heels, strappy sandals, statement heels, platforms, stilettos, and flats.

Whether you need something comfortable enough for a courthouse ceremony, polished enough for a rehearsal dinner, or fun enough for the after party, these are the bridal shoes I’d start with.

If you’re still building out the rest of your wedding wardrobe, you can also shop my favorite bridal shower dresses, rehearsal dinner looks, courthouse outfits, after-party dresses, and honeymoon looks on The Weddit.

Kitten Heels

Kitten heels are probably one of the easiest bridal shoe styles to wear right now. They still feel polished, but they’re much easier to wear for hours than a traditional high heel. I especially like them with minis, midi dresses, tailored sets, courthouse looks, and rehearsal dinner outfits.

Look for pointed toes, satin, sculptural heels, or a small detail that makes them feel a little less basic.

Slingbacks

Slingbacks are a good option if you want something classic without looking overly traditional. They work with almost everything: bridal shower dresses, rehearsal dinner looks, courthouse outfits, and even more formal second looks.

I’d go for a clean pointed toe, a lower heel, or something with an interesting texture, buckle, or finish.

Block Heels

If comfort is actually a priority, bridal block heels are probably the category I’d start with.

They make the most sense for outdoor weddings, grass, courtyards, destination weekends, and anything where you know you’ll be standing for a long time.

Block heels can sometimes skew a little too practical, so I’d look for something with a cleaner silhouette, satin finish, interesting straps, or a more modern shape.

Strappy Sandals

A strappy sandal is still one of the easiest ways to make a bridal look feel more dressed up.

They’re especially good with satin, silk, minis, and simpler dresses where you want the shoe to add a little something.

I like barely-there straps, square toes, metallic details, and anything that feels sleek rather than overly embellished.

Platform Heels

Platforms are a good option if you want height without putting all the pressure on the ball of your foot. They work especially well with longer dresses, after-party looks, and anything a little more fashion-forward.

I like them best when the shape still feels clean and modern rather than too chunky. Look for satin, metallics, sculptural shapes, or minimal straps so they still feel bridal.

Stilettos

If you want a more classic, sleek bridal heel, stilettos are still hard to beat. They work especially well with fitted dresses, minis, tailored looks, and anything where you want the shoe to feel a little sharper and more polished.

I’d look for pointed toes, barely-there straps, satin, metallics, or subtle embellishment.

Statement Heels

This is where I’d have more fun! Think bows, crystals, sculptural heels, rosettes, feathers, metallics, or anything else that makes the shoe part of the outfit instead of just something you’re wearing underneath it.

Statement bridal heels are especially good if your dress is simple and you want one detail to make the whole look feel more interesting.

Flats + Low Heels

You definitely do not need to wear a high heel for every wedding event. A great ballet flat, pointed flat, or low heel can work really well for courthouse weddings, bridal showers, destination weekends, or even the after party if comfort wins.

I’d look for satin, mesh, bows, embellishment, or a sharper silhouette so they still feel special enough for bridal.

Do Bridal Shoes Have to Be White?

No.

White, ivory, and cream are obviously easy choices, but metallics, pale blue, black, nude, or even a statement color can all work depending on the outfit. I’d choose the shoe that actually makes the look better rather than forcing a white heel just because it’s technically bridal.

Should Your Bridal Shoes Match Your Dress?

Not exactly.

Your bridal shoes should make sense with the overall look, but they don’t need to match the fabric or shade perfectly. A simple satin dress can look better with a metallic or embellished shoe, while a more detailed dress might call for something cleaner. The bigger thing is making sure the proportions work with the hemline and silhouette.

What Are the Most Comfortable Bridal Shoes?

If comfort is your top priority, I’d start with a block heel, kitten heel, low heel, or flat.

A wider heel gives you more stability, while a lower heel can make a huge difference if you’ll be standing for hours. For outdoor weddings or uneven ground, a block heel is usually much easier than a stiletto.

Can You Wear Flats as Bridal Shoes?

Absolutely.

Flats can work especially well for courthouse weddings, bridal showers, destination events, and after parties. Satin ballet flats, pointed-toe styles, mesh, bows, and embellishment can all still feel bridal without adding height.

The Takeaway

The best bridal shoes are the ones that actually work with your outfit and the event.

You definitely don’t need a different pair for every wedding moment, but having a few good options like a kitten heel, a comfortable block heel, and something more fun for the after party can take you through most of the weekend.

I’ll keep adding my favorites as I find them 🤍
